What we do
Advocacy
We represent members in matters that affect senior officers as a group, including collective bargaining and the administration of the agreement.
Professional development
We support command education, seminars, and the sharing of practice among members.
Well-being
We help members find the right Association and benefits supports, and we keep a private channel for notices that should not sit on a public website.

Senior rank carries the weight of command — for the Service, for Ottawa, and for the colleagues who serve beside them.
The Association exists so leadership is not solitary: a place to be represented, keep learning, and look after one another.
Membership
Who we represent
The Senior Officers’ Association represents about 65 command leaders of the Ottawa Police Service. We exist so those who hold senior rank have a dedicated voice — for advocacy, professional development, and the well-being of the people who lead.
